Our Projects in Honduras
At-Risk Girls Program, Educational Assistance, and Care
Each week we have programs and care for at-risk girls and young ladies. The girls in this program are typically from very unstable home environments, often having to care for younger siblings while their single mom is away working. Others may have learning disabilities or physical handicaps, and most have encountered or live with various difficulties in their home environment.
In our program they experience unconditional love, support for their education, and a place to express themselves or have someone to confide in.
They receive a nutritious meal, play games, sing, learn to cook, pray, and learn Bible stories and life applications. They also receive consistent and loving mentorship from our female leaders.
Additionally, they serve with us in our other outreaches such as in public schools, or in other rural village outreaches.
We have worked with many of these young ladies since they were in primary school, with many now either graduating or nearing graduation. We are there for them year after year, and our constant support has made a profound impact in their lives.
Public School Outreaches
We conduct dynamic outreaches to public schools almost every week of the year. In the course of a year, we typically reach hundreds or even thousands of children in Honduras. Our amazing team of leaders and junior leaders provide a fun and dynamic program that lasts around an hour and makes a great impact on the children as well as their teachers. There are songs, games, refreshments, a clear Gospel presentation.
Each child also receives a gift bag filled with school supplies, candy, and a Gospel booklet.
Feeding Programs for Hungry or even Malnourished Children
Children at various rural village outreaches receive a nutritious meal along with a dynamic and fun program. Other children (based on need) receive a food pack filled with a variety of healthy food and fresh produce for both them and their families.
Mission Teams and Trips
We host mission teams in Honduras and in other nations. Teams typically have around eight or more people come for around seven days to assist with our children’s programs and various outreaches. Educational Assistance to rural children and local public schools
We are very involved in assisting public schools, and the children we work with in their education. As an organization we provide all uniforms, backpacks, school supplies and transportation for over 35 children. We also are very involved and connected with other local public schools and regularly provide various types of aid and assistance.
